Poris and Associates, LLC, was launched in April, 2006 by John Poris.
Prior to founding Poris and Associates, Mr. Poris had over 23 years of experience in Quality, Process Improvement, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing/Production Management, Program Management, and Sales at IBM, Ford Motor Company, Visteon, and Microheat.
Mr. Poris has extensive global experience working with design, manufacturing, and service companies to help them resolve current issues and improve their quality, engineering and manufacturing systems and processes to enable them to succeed in today’s highly competitive world.
Poris and Associates’ focus is on resolution of current issues while enhancing the client’s ability to resolve future issues independently - i.e. we work with you to eliminate the need for our services.
Poris and Associates is proud to be able to offer expanded services by partnering as necessary with other companies and consultants who provide specialized services on an "as needed" basis. This enables us to be able to take on large and small projects with exactly the right mix of experience, knowledge, and manpower.
In 2008, Mr. Poris was selected as a Quality Improvement Coach for IPIP, "Improving Performance In Practice", a multi-functional task force working to improve the performance of medical practices in Michigan. For more information, or to volunteer as a coach, see the IPIP tab on this website.
Mr. Poris has earned degrees in Near Eastern Studies and Languages, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and an MBA. He is fluent in Hebrew and Portuguese, and conversant in Spanish (in addition to his native English).
