A few words about us
Poris and Associates, LLC, was launched in April, 2006 by John Poris.
Prior to founding Poris and Associates, Mr. Poris had over 23 years of experience in Quality, Process Improvement, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing and Production Management, Logistics, Program Management, and Sales at IBM, Ford Motor Company, Visteon, and Microheat.
Mr. Poris has extensive global experience working with design, manufacturing, and service companies to help them resolve current issues and improve their quality, engineering and manufacturing systems and processes to enable them to succeed in today’s highly competitive world. Specialties include working with companies and their suppliers to optimize systems, communications, and improving outcomes.
Poris and Associates’ focus is on resolution of current issues while enhancing the client’s ability to resolve future issues independently - i.e. we work with you to eliminate the need for our services. We are strong believers in eliminating “Root Causes” as opposed to a “Find and Fix” mentality, and spend significant time working with our clients to optimize processes, both in their facilities and in those of their suppliers.
We have worked extensively with many companies over the years, and have helped them improve how they track and reduce issues strongly affecting their bottom line.
Poris and Associates is proud to be able to offer expanded services by partnering as necessary with other companies and consultants who provide specialized services on an "as needed" basis. This enables us to be able to take on large and small projects with exactly the right mix of experience, knowledge, and manpower.
Mr. Poris has earned Bachelor’s degrees in Near Eastern Studies and Languages, and in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Master’s of Engineering in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and an MBA. He is fluent in English, Hebrew and Portuguese, and conversant in Spanish.
